Summer is in full swing, and at Oslo Skin Lab, we make sure to be 100% ready for the summer sun – with bare legs and sandals. In addition to taking your daily dose of The Solution Beauty Collagen, we have gathered 8 great tips to prepare your skin for the season.

1. Cleanse More Often

Summer often comes with heat and humidity, allowing bacteria to more easily build up in our pores. Make sure to cleanse both morning and evening and try using a product with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to kill bacteria.

2. Use a Water-Based Moisturizer on Your Face, Neck, and Chest

Winter weather usually requires thicker creams and moisturizers, but in summer, a thick day cream can make you feel sweaty the second you step outside. A water-based moisturizing gel is a great alternative for hot summer days.

3. Exfoliate!

Exfoliating the top layer of skin removes dry, dead skin and lets the fresh, new skin shine. Try using an exfoliating glove and coffee scrub to get rid of old skin and make the new skin glow.

4. Use Sunscreen – Everywhere

It’s tempting to try to get a quick tan when you first expose your skin in the summer, but UV rays are harmful to all skin! Make sure to apply plenty of sunscreen all over your body – and reapply several times throughout the day! 5. Consider Self-Tanning

To get the summer glow you’re looking for, you can also opt for a self-tanning product. There are many safe options on the market; look for products that are clean in ingredients and have moisturizing properties too! 6. Go for the "No Makeup Look"

We prefer the natural look, but on some occasions, you might still want to wear a little makeup. Instead of applying makeup that clumps or sweats off during a hot summer day, you can choose the “no makeup look.” A little makeup looks very delicate, and using a tinted SPF instead can be a great transitional option!
